I really wanted to visit teamLab Borderless and teamLab Planets when I was in Tokyo because of all the beautiful photos I saw on Instagram! We had trouble deciding which one to go too though, but after talking to some friends, they recommended teamLab Planets because it was more of an immersive and less-crowded experience. It was super fun and we really enjoyed our visit! Here’s what you need to know if you plan on going:
Before you go:
Purchase your tickets on the teamLab Planets TOKYO website ($40/person) and select a desired time slot. A QR code will be sent to your email which serves as your entry pass.
Address:
6 Chome-1-16 Toyosu, Koto City, Tokyo 135-0061, Japan
Rules and Guidelines:
You must take off your shoes upon arrival as there are body-immersive experiences that require your feet to get wet. I recommend wearing shorts if you don’t want to roll up your pants (or a skirt/dress would work well too)!
Our Experience:
Visiting teamLab Planets was definitely one of the highlights of our Tokyo trip. The experience was captivating, and we were able to take our time at each exhibition room. The music and visuals were incredibly serene, and it felt as if we had been transported into a different dimension. I highly recommend marking this on your itinerary if you ever have the chance to visit Japan!
